A Monday afternoon at Happy Jacks cabin in Calico...
I pulled up and snapped several rehearsal pictures when we arrived. My sister-in-law Katelynn came with me so she could do some of the bridesmaid's makeup. After rehearsal the time crunch started as everyone found their corner to start getting ready. Katelynn started on makeup, and I started on detail photos. I loved Summer's dress especially, when it came to the detail shots. The lace mesh and the beaded straps made for beautiful black and white photos. Next, I got some classic "getting ready" photos with the girls. Each bridesmaid took turns helping the bride get ready, pick out her jewelry, and help with her hair. I took some fun pictures of the groomsmen getting ready as well. After Summer got on her dress, we had her mom help with final touches in a rustic decorated bathroom.
First looks followed with her to-be husband, Malachi. Then her dogs, (which turned out adorable) and then with her parents. These were definately my favorite shots from that day. We took group bridal portraits which made for some chaotic moments from the groomsmen! Before starting extended family photos, we also took bride and groom portraits.
Summer and Malachi watched his dad and best man sign the marriage license before Malachi headed outside to wait for his bride. My favorite part of their day was how relaxed the couple was. Some of the younger girls laid out their picnic blanket to watch the ceremony which also made for some super cute photos. Everyone was so happy and excited for the couple to join and become one. Summer made her grand entrance out of Happy Jack's cabin and across the white runner to be with Malachi. They joined hands, tied their cross, exchanged vows and rings, and kissed. On their way out you could see their absolute joy to finally be able to commit to each other and their future, as a couple.
Thank you, Summer and Malachi, for your absolute rock star attitudes and patience with me! Yours will be a wedding I don't plan on forgetting.
